Who Are We?

Hermiston Education Foundation funds have made an impact in many areas within the school district. Students in music, technology, fine arts, literature, science, and career/technical education programs have all benefited from these grants. These are just a few examples of the ways in which grant funds have enriched learning for students in our community. The Hermiston Education Foundation Board and sponsors have the opportunity to see this when educators and students share their experiences during the Hermiston Education Foundation “Thank You” reception held in the spring.

In 2017, the Foundation realized one of its long-term goals when it established a college scholarship fund for graduating Hermiston High School seniors. The Foundation awarded six $2,500 scholarships in 2018, and increased to eight scholarships in 2019.

The Foundation’s efforts in helping students realize their dream of attending college would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and community.

The Hermiston Education Foundation is extremely proud of the work being done within our schools, and is eager to spark new ideas and projects in the future. Please enjoy your evening, the delicious food, and time well spent with family, friends, and colleagues.

HEF Events

The Hermiston Education Foundation (HEF) is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students in the Hermiston community. Each year, HEF hosts and sponsors several engaging events, including the Annual Auction held on the first Saturday of February, which raises funds for local education initiatives. In October, HEF sponsors an Author Visit, Dancing with the Stars, and a performance by the Portland Opera, bringing enriching cultural and educational experiences to the community.

Crab Feed is Back!

Mark your calendar for an evening of fun, food, and fundraising at the 14th Annual HEF Foundation Live and Silent Auction! This year’s event will feature a delicious crab and beef dinner and will take place at EOTEC on Saturday, February 1, at 5:00 PM. Dancing With the Hermiston Stars

The Hermiston Education Foundation (HEF) hosts the annual Dancing with the Hermiston Stars event, bringing together Hermiston School District employees and the community for a night of fun, entertainment, and philanthropy. This year’s participants wowed the audience with their dance moves, all while raising funds for local charities and supporting HEF’s mission to enhance education and community initiatives. The event celebrates the district’s strong community connections and HEF’s commitment to giving back.
